Carbtech works twice: as a stair nosing in its own right, and as the replaceable grip strip within Korb's insert-based profiles. Silicon carbide composite in multiple widths and colours: specify it standalone on hard-working stairs, or use it to re-grip an existing Korb profile at maintenance cost rather than capital cost. Tested to AS 4586.

Tap any colour to see the LRV an adjoining tread surface must reach for the 30% luminance contrast required under AS 1428.1.
Each insert shows mean dry / wet LRV; the scale plots the dry figure. Both are from the Korb product data sheet and the 2025 stair nosing brochure. Contrast is measured between the nosing insert and the surface around it: the further apart the two sit on this scale, the more contrast you get. A minimum of 30% luminance contrast is required under AS 1428.1. Confirm the figure for your tread before you specify.
